Group Dinner at Rub23 Restaurant
Rub23 is mainly a seafood restaurant with variations of fish species and large variety of sushi and some meat courses.
What makes the restaurant unique both in Iceland and internationally is the varied way in which the menu is put together, including ready-made spice mixtures that customers can choose from, the so-called RUB. RUB has become a well known term for spice mixtures that are either put onto or rubbed into food, as the name indicates. Thus the customer can first choose a particular ingredient, for example a special type of fish and then choose from a list of spice mixtures those he wishes to try.

Group dinner at The Fish Company
The Fish Company menu is an adventurous journey around the world. This sense of adventure is reflected in the surroundings and essence of  the venue.  The Zimsen building dates back to 1884 and originally stood a few hundred meters east of it´s current location. It was extended in 1889, but in 2006  it was uprooted and lovingly renovated before being replanted at its current location in 2008. During the groundwork stages of the reconstruction, excavation unearthed remnants of the old harbour, which has now been incorporated into “The Tides”, a  work of art by Hjörleifur Stefánsson, developed in collaboration with Minjavernd Heritage Trust. This gives the area a unique athmosphere further emphasized as the tides come in and go out in the artwork as they do in the current harbour.

Notice: You will have to confirm 4 days in advance if you wish to join us for the group dinner. Everyone picks whatever they like on the menu / á la carte.
